Move to L.A. and sell Luxury Real Estate

Hey everyone. In a few months I'm finishing school and last summer I took real estate classes in my home state of Pennsylvania. Me and a friend who are both mid twenties, good looking, articulate gentlemen are planning to move to L.A. and get into selling high end luxury real estate. He has a few connections and I have none. We both have successful sales experience be it retail or otherwise.

With me having no connections within the 'upper crust,' is it possible for me to break in? I just wonder why more people don't get into this. Granted it's hard work, 15-20 hour days sometimes. But the potential is so great and it's you're business and reputation your building. Not someone elses.

It seems to me that most people have a very dismissive attitude about getting into the high end game specifically L.A.

Is this a realistic goal?
